We had so much fun at our Story Time today! Thank you again to the Morris Public Library for hosting PreK throughout the school year!
Experiment day in PreK: What will happen if we put our white roses in colored water? PreK uses their senses to observe. I wonder what they will look like tomorrow?

We loved playing “Mystery Bag” this morning. We pulled a letter out of the bag, named it, and then found it on our alphabet chart. There were also some numerals hidden in the bag, but we weren’t tricked. We know the difference between letters and numerals!
We read “Eating the Alphabet” by Lois Ehlert. While practicing our letters, we also learned about healthy fruits and vegetables that we can eat. After reading the story, we chose 3 pictures of healthy food to glue onto our plate. Then we used our knowledge of letter sounds to label our pictures. We did an awesome job!
Today we practiced counting two sets and writing the correct numerals. Then we added the sets to find the total. We did a great job counting and writing our numerals!
We can color! Today we made a chart that helps us remember to try our best when we color. When we color, we try to: stay in the lines, use colors that make sense, and fill in the white. We did a great job practicing on our “green” papers today!
Open the egg, name the letter that’s inside, and write it down! Today we strengthened our fine motor muscles AND practiced our letters too. We were so surprised every time we opened an egg and found a new letter to write. It was so much fun!
